danger danger
ATT Wireless is continually testing my patience... I want that Nokia 3620 damn it!! Where is it.. the local stores tell me "who knows... i don't think its coming out.." I know it is but the clueless local folk just don't care I say! And now... today I read about Danger Inc's NEW... Hiptop. Yes a new generation of hiptops is about to hit the market.. in about six months. Currently the net is buzzing about an apperance yet not photographs were allowed to be taken.. only this crude drawing surfaced.. LOL

In short, the device is longer, thinner and a little more rectangular than the first generation Hiptop. It's much more usable as a phone, however, with dedicated call and hang-up buttons that with characteristic Danger ingenuity, nestle around a more discreet, redesigned wheel. Which also doubles up as the earpiece. Over on the left are the familiar Menu and Jump keys, but are joined by a new D-pad. Ya ya ya.. i see i see but what about increased and or better battery life? I did read that the camera is now intergrated into the camera... about time!
I doubt the new hiptop will make it before the Nokia 3620 but I can't wait to see it regardless.
Let's see so where were we? Last week I was sick with something, I dunno what but something. Feeling much better this weekend and to top it off got ahold of some new art and tunes.
My obessession with Shepard Fairey's Obey Giant propaganda engineering art pieces grows and grows. I have five pieces obey giant and if I could i'd collect it all! I simply love the art style, this 30's 40's war propaganda art style is never old to me. Rarely do I find something as compelling and continually fresh like obey giant. My latest piece is actually an old poster now out of print, (most pieces are limited runs of 200 or less), which I picked up off of ebay last year. The old poster was pretty beat to all hell but I loved the composition. Most of these prints get basic framing, some like the big guy downstairs get a really nice framing job. This latest one something simple yet looks uttery amazing on the wall. Makes me wanna redo the whole room in some obey giant theme.. like what would a entertainment center or couch look like in this propoganda theme... I dont know. Very cool stuff.
The second piece of art I got framed this weekend is actually an old wood block print my mother gave me. Steel Hawk, it was the first real art piece I did in highschool... or was it grade school? I remember giving it to my father for a birthday and my mother kept it all these years. When she handed it to me the other day I just figured a memory like this should remain intact as best it can, so a decent framing job for it as well.
Rounding out the day of new art new sounds arrive as well. Dipping back into the sound of deep dark dirty beats of nuskool they call it, basically the darker side of break beat. It's always nice to find fresh sounds.
Lastly the weekend wrapped up finishing off Reefer Madness from the author of Fast Food Nation. It was... ok. Nothing major and not nearly as good as FFN. Next up on the reading was Art of Deception by Kevin Mitnick hacker turned security expert.. and well I dunno I'm only a few chapters in it and already I'm hungry for a good adventure or something so I'm gonna finish off Philip K Dick Selected Short Stories.. go for a ride ya know. Besides I just got Johnny Mnemonic last night on tv so I still got the cyberpunk bite in me.. oh and Dark City comes on tonight! Ok yes.. I have like four dvd copies of that flick but still I must tivo it.
