Consistancy

I don't know if I find this reassuring or horrifying. A bit of both I think. One hopes that the people in charge at the highest level of the military are more competant than the average corporate CEO gleefully running his company into the ground while drooling. But it seems this same level of situational awareness and forehtought is to be found at all levels of "high command" both civilian and military. Why Are U.S. Troops Wearing Dark-Green Camouflage?
I really love the part where they say it could come in handy along the river banks. So what percentage of the overall fighting do you think will take place on riverbanks? How much has taken place on riverbanks so far? I understand the impluse to put a positive spin on everything, especially your own foibles but this is stretching it a bit.
