US plans $36 mn embassy in Baghdad

The United States has earmarked nearly 36 million dollars to construct a new, well-fortified embassy in Baghdad to represent US interests in a post-Saddam Hussein Iraq, the State Department said Tuesday.
In addition, the department said it planned to spend 20 million dollars to lease safe temporary quarters and office space for its diplomats to work in the Iraqi capital once the ongoing US-led invasion is over.
More and more the press is starting to read like the Onion. Ya baby sweet we already property lined up in Baghdad! Condos baby... I love it. We already have the gull to say this stuff. As if after the slaughter of hundreds we plan to build a new mall on 5th and Alijababbajagha which has been in our plan book since 98', soon Iraq's well, some of them, may enjoy our finest fast food and starbucks!

Radio Shack plans 14 Store Expansion in Baghdad

Radio Shack today announced a plan to open 14 stores in mid-downtown Baghdad after the US led invasion has finished it's operation freedom for Iraq civilians. "After a city like that gets pounded with 600 tommahawks you can bet some folks are going to need the occasional AV adapter..." says Sam Lackbow head of international planning at Radio Shack. "It's something we've been considering for a long time. We feel the Iraq's are in desperate need of phone cords and power strips." Radio Shack has said its bowing international, well the US, pressure of following in accordance to the OIL for something act of 1964. "Typically we just take diners club, visa or cash for our goods, but ya.. I mean we'll take OIL."
